A different way to level
Trials add optional conditions to your adventure. Your class and build still matter, but preparation, resource management and the risks you accept become just as important.
Open the Trials interface before committing. Compare the description, requirements and restrictions of each mode; the active rules belong to that particular trial.

Read. Prepare. Confirm.
Treat activation as a deliberate choice. Check grouping, equipment and life restrictions, prepare your supplies, then read the confirmation before accepting.

Hardcore: every pull matters
A limited-life run makes familiar enemies dangerous again. Plan an escape, respect enemy groups and avoid taking the next fight simply because the previous one went well.

Ironman: rely on your preparation
Self-reliant trials make your own decisions central to progression. Inspect the permitted sources of help and equipment, and choose routes that suit the resources your character can obtain.

Nightmare: leave room for mistakes
Harsher combat conditions reward careful use of crowd control, defensive abilities and recovery tools. Read the current damage and life modifiers in game instead of assuming another trial uses the same settings.

Know what ends your run
A trial can fail without removing your character. Follow the result shown by the game, check which restrictions remain active and review the milestones and rewards listed for the mode.
